Description:

Splendid and showy small tulip with bowl shaped scarlet red flowers with pointed tips, opening flat in bright sunlight to show a dark base to the flower. Native to Iran, Uzbekistan & Turkestan the leaves are grey-green with wavy edges and fairly distinctive fine red margins.

Site and Care:

In autumn, plant bulbs 8-10cm (3-4in) deep in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
