Description:

Hardy tuberous perennials to 60cm (2') which form a spreading clump of erect leafy stems and vivid blue flowers with three rounded petals and prominent yellow stamens in late summer and into autumn.

Site and Care:

Grow in a fertile, well-drained soil in a warm, sheltered site in sun or partial shade. Provide a deep, dry winter mulch. Propagate by seed in spring, sown at 13-18°C or by division in spring. Cut back stems close to ground level from late February through to the end of March.
